Hi! I’m Alaina. I’m a nineteen-year-old college student/artist/sister/daughter/Brooklynite who also reaaaally loves food—eating, cooking and baking. I’ve been helping my mom cook for as long as I can remember, and I have to admit that when everyone’s favorite television station was Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, I was much more drawn to shows like Ace of Cakes and Cupcake Wars on Food Network.

I started this blog back when I was 13 as a way to share my ups and downs as a baker. Said downs include the time I got tablespoons of milk confused with cups in a cookie recipe (needless to say they turned out… interesting), or my struggles with limiting the mess I make in the kitchen. (No matter how hard I try, I always seems to end up drenched in flour/covered head to toe in frosting!) My purpose on this site is to cook, experiment, taste, learn and share my findings with you. So thank you to anyone who finds the time to read my little blog, and happy nibbling!
